Here's what we did...
TA DA! Here it is after.
First: A little bit of elbow grease to get the dang crappy plastic nuts holding the old one on. And then the rest was pretty easy. (After a second trip to Home Depot for plumbing putty of course- the first trip was for a basin wrench). Oh and another trip to DIY Mecca tomorrow because the T-Nut thingy holding the silver medallion cover on the right side of the faucet is too small and won't tighten it down.
Except for the inevitable swearing and neck aches after working in tight quarters, we are very proud of ourselves.
