Of Summer and Sand...Winds of Change?

You know what I really wanted to capture with these photos on the beach? I wanted a great shot of all three kids working together.. in a non-posed shot. Something I could blow up to a poster sized shot you know? Or even better— hire an artist to use that awesome hoped-for photo to create a nice sized image.

I am really liking the ages of my kids right now. I want to catch them in the act of being kids. Cuz... I am starting to feel the winds of change these days.

Oldest is off to Jr. High this fall.

Youngest starts Kindergarten.

Something is in the air? Can you smell it?

Okay I can't talk about DRIVERS ED!!! ACK!
Yeah, so now you made me want to go to the beach with my family and have all that fun and stuff! Great pictures!
My kids are generally the same ages as yours, and I agree -- I'm loving these ages. We can finally do family things without hauling along strollers and diapers etc. .

I love this collection of pictures -- great job!

I hear that.. and the youngest should be able to ride all the rides this summer WHOHOO..

Oh and he can almost swim now.. won't the pools be soooo fun to not be stressing over the little one near as much!?
Great pics! And time sure does fly doesn't it? Not sure where it goes, either.
These are some great pictures! They all look so happy together! I love those moments!
Love the pictures way cute! I am also feeling the winds of change, moving out of the baby era. I am also looking forward to the next stage, and adventures that are to come!
Yes...it smells a little fishy;) I am right there with you my friend. Now my youngest is going to 1st grade. Where has the time gone. Watching the innocence change to understanding is scaring me. I am so grateful for those moments like what you have pictured here...love the shots Carissa!! Hugs.. <3
I am LOVING your mad collage skills! And your pictures...well they just capture summer and all the stuff I love about it. Perfect!

That last pic looks like she's walking on the water. What kind of kids are you raising out there, Carissa? LOL!

♥~•*☼♥♫¨*•.Have a lovely day!.•*¨♫♥☼*•~♥
Great, I came here as a blog hopper, and you made me melancholy!

Kidding. Mostly ;) I'm enjoying your posts, and this one spoke to me - loudly. My daughters are exactly 10 years apart - one in high school, one in kindergarten. I find I'm holding onto the wee one that much tighter because it was only 5 seconds ago that I was shrieking "I'm WHAT??!!" and here she is in school already. I know that in 5 seconds more, she'll be in high school and no longer wanting to sit on my knee with our foreheads pressed together, singing "You are my sunshine" under our breath, just to each other. It makes me sad.

Capture what you can, when you can. Cherish it.
