L is for... You Screwed up Father's Day!

Talk about bad timing.

How can it be Father's Day?

Do you all mean to tell me they scheduled Freakin' Father's Day (THE DAY!) for the same weekend as my recovery weekend? The same weekend I will not be able to walk, much less make breakfast in bed for the one who is Father to my 3 kids?? In fact, HE is the one making ME breakfast in bed, carrying ME to the toilet, helping ME in the bathtub and all around winning the best HUSBAND of the year award!

I am so going to make it a do-over next weekend.

There will be a Manly Breakfast.

And a Manly gift...(quick: tell me what you got your husband...I've been entering Kailani's Father's Day giveaways all week, and it just doesn't seem to be working out. Help! Ideas?)

Thanks for the shout!

I'm sure your hubby will understand given the situation. Hope you have a wonderful day anyway!

What's wrong with you scheduling your surgery before Father's Day? Don't you know that the worst gift is to be sick? TOTALLY just kidding. Your guy sounds great and I'm sure he's going to love his manly breakfast next week. I got my hubby a second guitar for guitar hero.

It does not matter what weekend he gets a breakfast and a gift, just so you tell him you love him and he is a great Dad.
I hope you feel better soon.

I'm sure he understands, and put the L fingers down now.

I got my husband another wii game, which he wanted but which might not be the best gift considering what happened yesterday.

We traditionally go see a show or something on mothers day and fathers day. Today is the big ballet recital.

Mine's always happy with beer - makes it very easy to buy father's day presents!

We (kids and I) got him a Milwaukee Brewers t-shirt. Son and I ran into a refrigerator magnet that goes along with his geneology research -- long story. Small item, good vibes.

I feel your (foot) pain, but you mean to tell me there's not a single thing you can do with a couple of Lortabs in you and at least one foot high in the air?

Okay. So it looks like it's
2) for Wii related
and 1) for a beer and 1) for brewer's shirt--which is kinda like beer, right?

His love is D. Coke, and we don't have a Wii---yet.

I guess I'll go with D. Coke.

I hope your recovery is going well.

You could always make him a King. Mine seemed to like that :D

I let Peter pick out his own gift...some photography equipment. So much easier then picking it out myself!

I just started visiting your blog, so I didn't know about the foot surgery, bummer!

But really, what better way for yoyr husband to spend Father's Day than being with your kiddos, being a father - all day long.

ha-ha. If he's like my husband, he'll get you back!

Just wanted to reply and let you know that the Warm Apple Pie Wallflowers are not too strong... I don't like REALLY stinky things, either.

Also, perhaps next year on father's day, try waffles - haha.

Oh my heck! I was featured. And it didn't hurt or anything!
