Am In Love With The UPS Man

Four! Four lovely brown boxes were on my front step waiting for me to bring them in and open them, and love them.

The UPS man is the love of my life at these times.

In box numbers one and two:

FABRIC! Wonderful toiles. RED and BLACK. A turquoise stripe. Oh yeah.
AND! And? The top three? NEW from my most like to stalk designer? Sandi Henderson's new Farmer's Market line...ooooh...I li-ike.

And oh my gosh what's in that third giganto box? Oh goodie another box inside the big box...
It's...it's...MY NEW SEWING machine!

I told myself once I made enough money from my bags, (no not 'profits'--ha, ha, ha,ha), just actually made enough from sales--I would buy a new (real) machine!
That day has come.

Here it is. No bells and whistles. Not pretty. Not digital.
Not fancy.
Just Seriously Heavy Duty.

You like?
Sorry.
Already sold it. But there's more....!

Upside down...but you get the picture?

And sideways. For my friend Carole Hippostoes!

You didn't even ask what was in the fourth box?

Play along at Angie's Blog!

What's in the 4th? What's in the fourth? I think it must be something naughty for you & your newly happier DH :)

I cannot express to you the depth of my love for mail. But packages? They are the creme de la creme of mail. I even like getting bills - so you can imagine how I feel when I receive a package... oh joy....

Anyone want to mail me something?

Great sewing machine! Is it all metal? It looks reallly heavy duty. I love my UPS man, too. There's nothing like a good looking, muscular man dressed in brown bringing you fabric and other goodies!! lol!

Well, I love all the fabric, but the sewing machine?? Seriously ugly! Reminds me of one that Grandma would use. But I am glad that you are so proud of it! Hope it keeps you from sweating so much. Ha Ha.

Claire is right and wrong! Ha!

That dang fourth box was...

EMPTY.

Yup.

It was the send back the old cable boxes box?!
(but claire's fabric came in the very next day NOT in a box, still on the ROLL! Can you tell I'm ready to do some serious sewing!)

Those are some treasures, particularly the industrial sewing machine... but watch out for the ups man, he's a player. He's got women waiting for him all over the map.

Ok, *luv* me those fabrics!
I recently grew an obsession about wanting to learn to sew. I bought a sewing machine and everything, but I still have to learn how to use it right!
If it's not straight lines, I don't know how to use it!
=0D
YOU do a lovely job with yours!

So, don't you love how we can e-mail all day and only at 6:30 p.m. do I get around to looking at your blog. Funny...

Yay for your new sewing machine!

I've had a project waiting on me for quite a while. I don't even know if I remember how to thread the machine... :-(

@ Cecily - Don't make fun of Brad's "What's in the baaaax" scene! That was one of the most beautiful pieces of acting I've ever seen! I love that movie. :-)
