I'm a failure..

At many things I suck.

At many things I fall flat on my noggin.

One of those things?

PACKAGING.

I got this in the mail. (I know. Another post about mail.) I was so excited though.

It's the earrings I won in a NieNie auction over at TBC...

Created by HollyDoodleDesigns!
(Oh my heck, I dare you not to LOVE THIS over in her shop? Just try.)

When I opened this unassuming little box....

I could tell right away this was WAAAAAY out of my league.Photobucket
I could tell I will never measure up.Photobucket
I could see that Holly's handwriting is sooo much better than mine.

And flowers? On the package?

With ribbon?!Photobucket
I could barely tell what exactly I had bought? Photobucket
I could tell these were perfect for me.Photobucket

And you try taking a picture of your EAR.
I think my 4yrold did a pretty darn good job don't you?

Does anyone know how much $$ was/is being raised for the Nielson family?
I know there is a lot of suffering out there, and so many people need help. But I am so amazed by what I personally saw of people being willing to help a family they didn't know.

Why is there world hunger, I keep wondering?

Head over to Angie's blog for more terrific WordFUL Wednesdays!

I think your packaging is perfect. Crisp, clean and professional.

Wow! The earrings, of course, are gorgeous, but wow! The presentation looks like a spa day! Awesome!!
Blessings!

As I've expressed here before, mail holds a special , dear place in my heart. But I'm so pathetically addicted to mail that I even like getting bills and junk mail! Yes, I know.... But to receive a package like THAT -- oh my. Oh my... True Joy!

I feel I may be revealing some ignorance here, but who are the Nielson's and should I have sent them money????

I have no idea why, but this post may me wonder if you want more kids, Carissa? I think you do :). Wasn't that a baby mobile that you linked us to, over at the earring-shop? And talk about receiving special packages all wrapped in bows? Hmmmm... Watch out, Seth!

You definitely won the right item! I don't know how much the auction raised but they posted on onemoremoore-the etsy sale that has been going on last week and today-that before today's installment of the sale they had just about topped 10,000. It is so great to see all the good hearts in the world try and help someone isn't it?

Hi there. Came from Angie's WW.

Kudos to you for helping out the NieNie Recovery. It is SO sad what they're going through.

I love those earrings! Your 4 yr old took a great photo! I've never been great at packaging either. I mean, I pack well, but not fancy. lol

All that jazz just for a pair of teeny tiny earrings. Wow! She really likes you!

Had fun at GNO last night. Sorry couldn't stay on too long. I added a link to your post so that any of my non twitter friends could maybe join us next week. Is that Cool?

Tell the 4 year old great pic, she must take after her fav. Aunt! LOL

That is great packaging! I always try to add a little something to a box when I am shipping to a friend. That is a great example to follow!

Umm...I think compared to that package most of us suck!

Pretty earrings!
DOn't knock yourself, perhaps packaging isn't your forte', but I bet there are other areas where you excel. In fact I know it, I've seen your bags!!
I agree with you on the world hunger question. Makes no sense. IF everyone could just find room in their hearts to do a little bit.

I love the earrings and the fancy packaging. That's actually a very decent shot of your ear, centered nicely. ;-) Thanks for stopping by.

GNO was fun btw, but holy cow did it get tough to follow at some point. It didn't help that it was way past my bedtime over here on the east coast. lol.

Wow! Chic packaging! Love the earrings!

I enjoyed MNO (I was there for the pre-party but alas, on EST, I fell asleep before the "real" party began). I'll be back next Tuesday!

I have been following the nienie site and it is a lot of very much needed money. I am so glad people are responding. My heart aches for that family. So glad you got those cute earrings for a good cause.

Totally thought I had already commented here today. I came by and didn't comment? See how badly I needed a nap. Never did get one. And, here I am up at 1 a.m. At least I finally posted a real post for the first time in nearly a week.

OK... I got my stuff today too from the auction. I know it was stationary, but it wasn't at all wrapped like this. WOW! I can honestly say I will NEVER attempt this. I can barely wrap Christmas present and my family would say that is a generous statement.

OK... had so much fun last night at Twitter Girl's Night Out. Our group rocks! Isn't it fun to meet folks that way? Yeah!

Hope you get some great sleep. I'm off to try :).

Hey! Did you notice I removed word verification from my blog? What are your feelings on it?

love the earrings...the packaging was very cute, too. These days, I'm lucky if I wrap something in the Sunday comics...that's considered "good wrap". UGH I long for those days that I could take my time wrapping and add little fancy touches to a package.
The picture of your ear is just priceless.

Oh my heck! I was featured. And it didn't hurt or anything!
