Photo Story Friday: Round 2

My little boy is 5.
He refuses to sing.
Well...except... he sings a popular primary (that's Mormon-speak for ages 3-11) song called:
I am a Child of God.. he learned it in Nursery (pre-primary age kids). And when I asked him about learning a new song in church he would answer.. I don't KNOW that song, mom.

Well duh.

Every Sunday, he happily sits in Primary NOT singing a single song, until I am a Child of God, comes up and then he shouts it from the rooftops.. you've seen this kid right?? The one who sings the chorus really loud and then nothing else.. kind of like that, only he shouts the whole song.

Fast forward to this past August.

Out of the blue in the back seat of the MomVan he says: "Hey mom I can sing a new song." I nearly pulled over to see what he was talking about!

And get this. He agreed to sing it SOLO in front of the whole congregation during the Primary's fall Sacrament program. How freaking cute is that? We call up grandparents and he sings it over the phone. He happily sings it for pretty much anyone walking by. Give me a call and he'll sing it for you!

LOL! That's too cute that he only sings the one song.

My sister was that way. She only sang one song at church when we were younger. (And if I remember right, she didn't sing any other time either...)

Awww...that is so awesome that he sang it for the Primary program! I bet he had everyone in tears. So cute. My kids love "I Am a Child of God" too. We sing it pretty much every night before bed. It's Abby's favorite.

So cute! He is so adorable!
I have an HTML question for you-because I am done staring at code...
My titles are really little, and I looked in all the obvious places to change the font size and heading sizes to h1 instead of h3 and all that. I am probably looking in the wrong spot...would you take a look see and see if you can tell me how to make them bigger?
I know I should be able to figure this out-but sometimes you just need a fresh set of eyes ya know?

That is so cute! Clearly he has a performance career ahead of him! My toddler will only sing Jesus wants me for a sunbeam, even when everyone is singing something else!

That's a great story. Sometimes I think it takes something special that they need to connect with to want to sing. My little one is not too interested in singing at all. So I probably would have pulled over and listened too. :)

Oh my gosh - he did such a great job! And how completely adorable he is, too! And you think I will ignore that invitation to call and hear it myself .. you think I didn't notice that .... BUT I will call to hear him sing! Tell him to warm up his vocal chords - his aunt melissa that he's never met MUST hear him!
