Things that save my Marriage: Part III

Small things; A list.

We fold the laundry together.
While watching House. (And more often than not HE is the one who has pushed through several loads of the dirty stuff and turned it into the clean stuff.)

We do small household repairs together.
Fixing the leaky toilet.
Installing our new sink faucet.
And paint. We paint. (I need to take some pictures of our handiwork, been meaning to do an interior house color post…) He does more of the actual painting than I do (I tape). And he likes my choices in bold colors, that can be very important!

On the few dates we get to go on…we prefer to scout out new-to-us restaurants. Olive Garden is just not for us. (Not after living in NYC). And maybe this comes as a surprise, but there are some fabulous eateries in SLC.

Like I said, not a lot of date nights around here, instead:
Netflix.
We love Netflix.
Go join Netflix right now and give me the reference (please!). (Laundry also works well during our latest Netflix movie). I order up one for the kids and one for us. Then on Friday nights they are required to inhabit the basement enjoying their movie and we get to be ‘alone’ watching ours. “Almosta Date Night” at our house.

And one last 'saves my marriage'.

He rubs my feet. Go ahead and hate me, he still won't rub your feet though.

Part I, and II

There might be 5 of these. I'm not sure.

Something that saves our my marriage? My husband gives the best neck and shoulder massages. Every time he sits down beside me he knows he's gotta rub my shoulders.

My husband rubs my feet too. Mmmmm.

Great idea for a post.

No feet rubbing going on here. He does do fairly well with back rubs. I want to know, HOW THE HECK DO YOU GET HIM TO FOLD LAUNDRY? We do house repairs together in this form: I get tired of something needing to be fixed, so I demolish it, and then he HAS to fix it! I can hear the "what did you do this time and how much is it gonna cost attitude" in his voice when I say stop by the lumber company.
He loves me, this I know!

My dh and I don't work well together..I think he has issues with my being more capable that he thinks...or wishes...maybe if I were to dumb up myself, he would feel more masculine...and I wish he would rub my feet...

I found you from Marketing Mama - I love the idea of posting things that 'save' our marriage - but really, probably there not publish-able on my blog. I'm keeping my most personal bizness out of my blog.

Of course, you are are talking those extra sweet things DH does, which I'm excluding from my posting too. He doesn't need a swollen head!

Oh, I LOVE the idea of the kids watching their movies DOWNSTAIRS! Duh! Why didn't I ever think of that?!

We do blockbuster.com and we do the same thing! Gotta have a movie for the kids and a movie for us!
We do lots of home repair stuff, too. And laundry. He will rub my feet, but I am too ticklish! Lots of similarities here...

Its alright I hate having my feet rubbed. Mine makes me latte and a thermos full to take to work.

Even if I have kicked him out of bed to make it. Or hogged all the hot water.

We love Netflix. What saves our marriage? Consistent kid bed times/Mommy and Daddy time each night. :)

OOPS! That last one was actually me and not Not-So-Classic. Forgot to sign him out.

My husband and I do none of these together. That's what saves our marriage. He does rub my head, though.

Oh my heck! I was featured. And it didn't hurt or anything!
